Bobbie's Story
Life...
Well, what can I say about my life's bio? So far my life has been interesting and I was able to travel to many foreign countries which was something I always wanted to do. I remember graduating from Jr Hi and saying, "I was going to travel to some of those wonderful countries" you see in the movies as well as places one reads about. I enjoyed every moment living out of the country!
I enrolled and took some courses at the community college. Met and married a wonderful guy who happened to be in the Army (deceased). What a way to go and to travel. My first airplane trip was to Europe to live in Germany. I had so much fun living in a German coummunity before moving on to Military base. Met some wonderful people who I have reestablished contact with when we moved to the Washington, DC area. I don't want to get ahead of myself. While living in Germany, I worked at the European Exchange System (ESS) which was located downtown in Nurnburg, Germany. I would take public transportation which was not a difficult way to travel if my husband was unable to take me to work. Working at the EES gave me an opportunity to meet the locals and learn German, and of course they were happy to start me off with simple words to speak. It was there in Germany that I saw snow for the first time, what an exciting moment for me. Living in the Bay Area all of those years and never visited NV to see snow before leaving the States.
I have adult children who are married with their own children that I adore. I am very proud of the accomplishment my children have made in their lives. They were born in Germany, my daughter has had the opportunity to travel back to experience the good hearty food of Germany. DC area.
My oldest grandson at 13 traveled to China as a part of the People to People program for 17 days. I am a very proud Grandma. He had a wonderful time, met and made some great friends.
If you want to learn more about me, then send me a note. There are more interesting places I lived. Lived in Viet Nam and Panama and just returned from a cruise. Planned another 9 day cruise for November 2009 with a few girl friends.
I try to get in as much travel as I can even throughout the US.
I would like to see a couple classmates Midge Clark and Sharon Sherborn from Tennyson. Once you graduate from high school, classmates move on and out of the state as I no longer live in California so it is difficult to make contact.
Love to move, hate to pack; from CA to FL and back to the northern areas, now again live in a southern state. Interesting but nothing like CA!
I would love to hear from my Tennyson Hi classmates of 1960 and those classmates in past graduating classes. I'm sure there are interesting stories that can be shared with me since I left Tennyson too many years ago. Make me a new friend to converse with.
Always love hearing about Tennyson Hi, NO OTHER SCHOOL WILL EVER TOP IT IN MY MEMORY! WILL ALWAYS BE A TRUE LANCER.

2017 traveled back to CA to spend a week with my Dad and stepmom for his 99th year of life. What a week of beautiful warm sunny days of 78 and up. Wow was I surprised to enjoy that kind of weather. Visited Jamaica again after staying there on many vacations in pass years. Still enjoying being retired and travel as often as possible.
